General Promotion

Ege University Public Relations Unit was first established in 1994 and carried out its activities with only one personnel until 2002. However, the gradual growth of our university and the needs for effective, accurate and two-way communication with internal and external partners have led to the need for a more effective public relations unit. In this direction, Ege University Press and Public Relations Branch Office was restructured in June 2002. In 2018, the unit that carries out the press affairs of the Directorate was separated as a separate branch office, and the name of the Press and Public Relations Branch was changed to the Public Relations Branch.

Ege University Public Relations Branch Office carries out studies for all partners and target groups of the university. The Directorate undertakes tasks such as developing a sense of belonging within the university, sharing institutional information as well as information coming from outside or other units within the institution, conducting studies on suggestions and requests in the university. Outside the university, it undertakes the task of strengthening the institutional image and carrying out the necessary studies to represent it in the best way.

Units

The Directorate carries out its work in two main sections in order to realize its mission in the most effective way:

Public Relations and Promotion: Internal and external official correspondence; congratulatory posts; Follow-up and response of in-house requests, suggestions and complaints via “Turkuaz Masa” and e-mail, social, cultural, scientific etc. organized by Ege University Rectorate. carrying out the organization of events, supporting the organizations of other units; preparation and distribution of various promotional materials in printed and electronic media, making e-mail announcements; preparation of the annual activity plan for special occasions; implementation and followup; following press news and reporting interpress; organization of official occasions, commemoration, celebrations and wreath laying ceremonies; following the protocol, organizing the academic promotion ceremonies and protocol ceremonies; management of institutional discount processes, etc. activities and studies on many subjects are carried out by our directorate.

Information and Logistics Services: Applications received pursuant to the Right to Information Law are answered and all logistics services are carried out.
